These sessions are all about the first days or weeks at home. They document all of the intimate moments loving on your new babe. Allll the kisses and snuggles. Immediate family members are welcome. Sessions usually take place in your home, but can also be outdoors. Sessions are up to 2 hours to allow for feeding, diaper changes (keeping baby happy), wrangling siblings, etc.

Candid and in-the-moment. I want to get those small details and emotions (i.e. joy, love, protection are some of my faves). I won't be focusing on "say cheese" portraits, but instead all of the special moments developing between you and your people. My sessions involve prompts/ideas and some directing, but in an interactive way.
Newborn sessions take place within the home, typically within the first month. We can also do outdoors if you prefer.
I recommend booking your Newborn session 2-4 months prior to your due date if possible. Your due date is then reserved on my calendar.
Most typical would be 1-3 weeks old. With my lifestyle approach, it's not super important that your baby is tiny or a certain age. I have done newborn sessions at 4-5 weeks. I let parents/family help decide, based on how they are settling in at home etc. If you book a Fresh 48 and Newborn Session together, I typically recommend waiting a little longer for the Newborn Session.

Honestly my answer would be both. Fresh 48 have that brand new feel-the first days of meeting your little one.
I love in-home newborn sessions b/c they capture what home is (nursery details, the favorite couch you sit on to hold your babe for hours of the day)
