If you are expecting, you may begin to think about how to capture all of the special moments of welcoming this little one into your family. As I watch photography trends, I am just loving capturing more “real”. Here are some fun ideas of how to document your first days or weeks with your new little one in a genuine way. These are newborn photography ideas you could incorporate with a newborn photographer and/or you can be sure to document these yourself as well 🙂

Newborn Photo/Video Idea 1: BIRTHPLACE FIRST DAYS

Hire a Fresh 48 photographer to document your first days at the birth place or hospital. This can be a super special time to document family members i.e. siblings or grandparents meeting baby for the first time. Incorporating a little one bursting into the hospital room to meet their new sibling is seriously priceless. First reactions are simply the best.

Newborn Photo/Video Idea 2: HOMECOMING!

Hire a newborn photographer or videographer (or DIY if need be!) to video welcoming baby home for the first time. Especially if you didn’t get siblings meeting baby at the hospital this can be so incredibly special. Personal touches like welcome home signs, cards, balloons are so cute to grab on film. The videographer can capture footage of you pulling into the driveway, baby meeting fur +/or human siblings, and walking into their first home (getting a photo or video of the house itself is super nostalgic).

Newborn Photo/Video Idea 3: FIRST BATH

This can be a super sweet family activity to capture with photos or videos. Your little babe all wrapped up in a towel is beyond sweet. Newborn Photo/Video Idea 4: A DAY AT THE PARK

If you are looking for a little more documentary style newborn photos, this is for you! You can wear your baby (i.e. Solly or Wildbird) while you enjoy a playground with an older sibling. You/we could document breastfeeding or a bottle feed and laying on a blanket or a cute little Moses style basket.
